Seneca Sumatra .22 50 and 100 yards

Scope should be back Monday or Tuesday so I’m itching to see how it groups.

With iron sites 12 to 15 yards I’m getting about dime to quarter size groups with most of the pellets I have tried. I’m guessing 1000 fpe is probably going to be too fast I wanted to see how much fpe I could get out of the 33.95s.

The Seneca_22_Cal_32_4_Grains_Pointed pellets i’ve tried are serious penetrators even better than the 33.95s, they blow right through 2x4s at half power but the 33.95s impact really hard because they are such soft lead.

Meanwhile, here are four consecutive six-shot groups at 97 yards with a .22 Sumatra Carbine-

P67, those groups were shot after much tuning of the gun to get good hunting power and a reasonable number of shots per charge. As taken from Airgun Chronicles-

15.9gr JSB Exact, 3000 PSI, tuned for reduced power, 24 shot powerband- Lo= 872, Hi= 905, ES= 33, SD= 6, Avg= 890 FPS/28.0 FP.

Over two years, 61 six-shot groups with 15.9 gr. JSB Exacts averaged .795” c-t-c at 50 yards.
