You need to be a active member. Post ten posts and have a waiting period. Which it seems, dosen't even keep the scammers out.

10 meaningful post (conversation ) and 10 days on the forums , doesn't need to be consecutive days , but 10 days total to buy or sell

I'm not even surprised anymore, how many people that join AGN and the first thing they want, is to buy or sell.

To buy, doesn't seem like such a big risk. The seller should receive and confirm payment before shipping. To sell immediately, that is certainly a risk to the membership and new members who have any experience with the issue (we're not the only forum with a classifieds) will understand and participate.

We like people who want to be Members of this community, not people who only sign up to "use" AGN to sell stuff quickly with no investment into what AGN is really all about. Too many dirtbag scammers nowadays.

I can see new people see a gun and want to buy , only natural , but other gun even better " i wish" guns come up all the time , that's how i got my USFT mac1 but i had been a member for a long time . most people are of the right NOW thinking .

As a new member and a person that usually just likes to lurk, the 10 day thing would be frustrating to me if I wanted to buy something from someone. But I'm also not planning to sell anything either, nor would I expect to join a group, post up an item for sale, then just disappear. There are sites for that already (ebay and gunbroker). I can definitely understand the reasoning for the rule, which is not bad by any means, and looks like it does a reasonable job of keeping away the bad people.
