Select fire airguns, toy, or totally cool?

I had a chance to shoot a new rifle just being becoming available to the public. Its called the SK19, and is being offered .22 ans .25 cal. It looks vaguely like the FX Impact I bought a little while back, but its really quite different in many respects.

Anyhow Robert Buchanan, owner of AOA brought one by my place last Sunday for the Temecula club guys to shoot, and all who tried it were grinning after just few shots. The gun is accurate, powerful, and fires single action or full auto, and is very quiet .... whats not to like?

Gotta admit, though I'm trying to reduce my collection, I still ended up ordering one in .22 cal!

Thanks for the info on the SK19, LD. Gotta be a good one with your seal of approval. I'm scared to buy one because I don't know if I can afford all the air and lead it takes to feed it!

I shot this past weekend with LD. The gun is super well built, accurate and FUN. LD bought the .22 which is the one I want. The one we shot last weekend was .25. We were all giggling like little kids shooting the spinners across the canyon at 100 yards – IN FULL AUTO!!!

I would like to reduce my collection as well but I bought one too. Hope to get out o shoot it Monday. Yes, when I thought of the cost of pellets and the gas requirements I went with the .22 also. I have an Impact for the bigger stuff.

Heard the trigger is not exactly great. Wanna chime in on that, cause thats the only thing keeping me from an order...

your right the trigger is not like my taipan, it’s a little long for my taste but once you shoot it a couple of times you’ll know where it breaks. After that you’ll have a blast shooting it, just have a tank of air or compressor and lots of pellets.

One thing holding me back from this gun is the fixed magazine and loading. It's like loading the 19 rounds each time by rotating the non-removable magazine would become a chore after a while. Anyone with hands-on have thoughts on this?

Not totally cool. I don't like the way things are going with airguns. Guess I'm old school. One shot, one kill. Maybe I'll go back to Springer's. I've got no problem with technology but I hope things don't get out of hand with full auto. I also am not an AR, military, black gun fan.

Im also worried about the full auto thing. The mag, OK there should be a lull in shooting to fill and 19 id a lot of rounds. Trigger I'm thinking pressure will have an improved trigger. Next spring maybe????

I see several posts concerning the trigger travel and reset. The industry is already pushing it with the full auto. I wouldn't think they should have a trigger comparable to a single shot bench rifle.

I had chance to play with SK-19 loading was not a problem at all.

They improved that compared to Huben, you open lever and load 4 pellets at a time, not like Huben just one at a time.

Of course, I would prefer a removable magazine, but I think it's related to semi-auto action.

Only one thing was stopping me from buying - trigger.

Can't stand that long travel, so far no information if you can adjust that. I have a couple of Pulsars and Brocock - short travel, crisp break

Huben - same platform, same internals, yes it's not full auto, it's semi but the trigger feel same as Pulsar or Brocock short first stage and crisp break, I was expecting same from SK19, but was surprised it was totally different, hope they can fix that soon.

The one you shot is actually mine lol Going to have to clean the barrel because you all must have had way to much fun with it. I'm super impressed with it sofar, a full field review coming soon.

I did not shoot it because the big boys pushed me down. sniffle sniffle They sure were having fun. The automatic part is a toy you will get tired of loading or run out of pellets, but on single shot it was very powerful and accurate so the auto load will be nice. Now if it was belt fed wow they will really sell
