Sekhmet gauges

My brass one seems fine. I have the flash module as well. Even with the latest flash (v5.5) I wish the battery lasted a bit longer, like months, not days. One 6 hour session and I will have to charge it when I get home. I don't spend much time in moist conditions so can't speak to that. One metal having an advantage over the other overall might be harder to quantify. Overall, I like it and will get another for the first reg on my Maverick.

I have 5 of them in service for the last year or so, they have been great for the most part, two of them in brass as they match real well on a bronze impact, on my end, they do last for months and seem very accurate. The ones I had charged before EBR are still at 60%, settings can change battery life significantly. I run them in simple mode as I just want to know what pressure is. They Work great for reg adjustment and gauge validation. A lot of gauges have a significant amount of variation, another reason I don’t believe people can try and copy someone else’s tune!
just my experience anyway👍🏻 Highly recommend

2L8–> Mine last forever too. We have six of them and I charge them about once a month and even then, they don’t need it, I’m just topping them off. If you have to charge yours every 6 hours, something is wrong. Maybe you should give them a call and see if they’ll swap it out. Fred and the guys are awesome.

Thanks stoti! I thought that was just the way they were, you know, marketing and all the bla bla, I was just going to live with the new "technology", waiting for "upgrades" . I have another one on the way and I will compare, sending the lesser back for a replacement. They are awesome for sure.

Update:

I installed a new Sekhmet as the 1st reg., my original was the 2nd reg. They both have the same ROM flash. My new #1 gauge does have a slightly longer battery life than #2. I do notice that after the flash update on #2 it increased the battery substantially over the old flash. It might take a few cycles to settle down. I was pleased to find out when I detached the bottle to install the new 1st reg., noted the reg. pressure, installed the Sekhmet, attached the bottle and the new reg read the same pressure as my Wika gauge I took off. Both gauges reading the same Bar after the small release of air between the bottle valve and the reg says to me they are well within the advertised tolerance, and, both match my tank gauge as well. Very pleased.
