Seeking advice - Hatsan Bullboss .25 which regulator?

Good morning AGNers,

I finally pulled the trigger and ordered the Hatsan Bullboss .25 after countless hours of research. My question is I have read that adding a regulator is a simple and very effective upgrade to add to this entry level PCP air rifle. Being new to this hobby I wanted to get some feedback from some season veterans. My primary reason I want a regulator is to reduce the fill amount because currently using a 3k PSI scuba tank for charging. I will be upgrading to a 4500PSI tank (still researching).

Of all the reviews I've read the HUMA seems like the most popular. So with that being said, would a scuba tank be sufficient to fill the Bullboss w/ Huma regulator?

Based on what i've read it drops the fill pressure to 140-145 bar?

I have the Bullboss in .25 and it shoots just fine without adding a regulator but if I did it would be a HUMA from what I have read, shoot the Bullboss for a bit before you just go and add a regulator you might be surprised how it shoots right out of the box, I don’t shoot paper to much but after zeroing it in I have no problems hitting my 6” AR500 steel plate at 109 yards and the only reason I don’t shoot farther is due to how I have my range set up.

I've installed 2 regulars in Hatsan AT44's which is kin to the Bullboss. There very easy to do. The regulator will install into the tank. It as easy as taking the tank off, dropping the pressure on the tank,(use the tank bleed valve that came with the gun) lubing the Oring on the reg and slipping it in. You'll have to take the OEM Oring off an the end where the valve to tank and file a small grove into the threads of the brass valve and end of the tank. You'll need a air tank to fill for the first time after installing the reg. Some air leaks out at first, it take a large amount of air at once to close the pop valve and and fill the regulated area a once. Good luck. pm if you have questions
One other thing with no holes in the tank you can alwise to back to no regulated by just pulling the reg and installing the Oring you had to take off at regulator in install.
Oh I like Lane regulators, there good to work with and send right away, you'll have your reg in 6working day out of the U.K.. With extra Oring kit and pop valve springs to try. $85 depending on the Euro to dollar
