I bought 7 tins of redesigned monster .22 with the screw on lid no seal on them. Is this normal

I’ve gotten a couple of tins like that. I didn’t have an issue with the pellets. I did find it odd at first. I asked one company about it via email and received no response. I thought maybe they were down to their last tins and took some tins they used to test rifles before shipping and filled a tin to fulfill my order. This was during one of the scarce periods in the pandemic.Â
The second company that shipped me a tin without tape around it, I emailed them photos and brought it to their attention because a tin opened in transit and pellets spilled out. The pellets ended up shooting fine and the company was apologetic and receptive to the criticism. Perhaps you can reach out to the vendor and let them know what’s going with your pellets. Have your tried cleaning your barrel and shooting more of the same pellets? If you shot other pellets you have do they shoot ok while the MRDs shoot crappy? Or are you saying that the MRDs shoot crappy in general? Have you ever shot any before? If so, is your gun tuned to shoot them?

If you are talking about the red tape around the tin. Some have it, other doesn't. It you want to be sure if someone opened it and stole some of your pellets might want to count it and see if there are 500 xD

I don't think any of the screw top tins of .22 MRDs that I've received have had the seal that JSB seems to always use on snap top lids.

I'm shooting them out of a Taipan veteran long 860 fps. They shot fine with the one mag I had left but these newone group over an inch at 50 yards. Barrel is clean and the 18s and hades are lights out accurate at 50 yads

Press on lids needed tape to keep em closed ... Screw lids don't it appears being JSB's view on this.
H&N screw lids always came taped.
As too shooting like crap ... yea some barrels simply don't and shot too slow they can be that way ... sadly.
