Scoring on Extreme Benchrest

Bull, 10, 9, 8, 7 : are usually how most targets are laid out. If you hit a pellet all inside a ring its worth that ammount, if you break a line, then its worth the higer of the two points (splitting 7 & 8 =8) if there are 25 targets / circles then the total is 250 possible points. Bulls count as 10 as well. Add up your total and that is your score. The bull count is a bonus I guess if there is a tie, so you also count how many times you hit the bull i.e. My score may look like this: 239 points out of 250 and hit the bull 7 times (239:7). Hope this helps.

"ezerhoden14"I don't know billyd, I've seen some of your targets and they look better than mine... did you see mine from yesterday?

Yes I saw your targets... I am very Jealous.... I really like that gun design but afraid to purchase a fx bullpup....
I have never been around a bullpup let alone hold one.....
Believe me I need work.... my goal is to always hit the 1/2 inch center (50 yards)...
You had many solid hits into the 1/2 inch circle on many

18% of those shots hit their mark... ehhh I'm gonna go with luck! You're not to far away from me, if I'm ever up near buffalo for work or your ever down near Pittsburgh we can get together and you can try out the Bobcat. I was pretty nervous going into such an expensive rifle with very little info out there.. Ted's reviews pretty much convinced me I needed one.

If you want to do it right go to this USARB web page and order the official targets from Joe at the bottom of the page. It also has the scoring info there.

Then go to here at Champions Choice to order the scoring gauges...
http://www.champchoice.com/store/Main.aspx?p=CategoryBody&c=RASGSG

I used these gauges the other day after they arrived and my target i shot went from a 234 6Xs to 238 8Xs..The scoring gauges really make a difference!

Using round head pellets don't leave the clean hole as wad cutters, so these gauges are the only way to get the true hole.

Jimmy, The info I gave was for the 25 and 50 meter pro and hunter division bench rest competions that they also do at the Extreme Benchrest. I should have prefaced my above comment with other than the 75 yd ..........

Billydjann mentioned he was shooting at 50 yds, that is why I told him about our experience with the scoring plugs.

The Extreme part is that 75 yard crazy wind competition where the targets are like your photo above.

That target has much larger bulls I am sure.
