I see a lot of different scopes being used on Springers. Are members using non air rifle scopes on your rifles? I was of the understanding that non air rifle scopes could not tolerated the recoil from springers?
I’m using a UTG scope from pyramid air on my TX200 and haven’t had a problem with it for many years. The UTG scope have been tested to withstand the vibration and recoil of a springer, there’s a video of the testing you can watch. I don’t believe it’s the recoil that kills scopes, it’s the the vibration of the spring that does the scope killing. If you think about it a 308 has way more recoil than a springer but, moving that scope from a 308 to a springer may end the scopes life.
I can nerd-out and tell you all the reasons how the spring vibration will do the scope destruction if you want to send me a PM
this is the scope I’m using
Leapers UTG 3-12x44 AO Accushot SWAT Rifle Scope, EZ-TAP, Ill. Etched Mil-Dot Reticle, 1/4 MOA, 30mm Tube

I see many of you mention the Vortex Diamondback line of scopes. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this line fixed parallax adjusted to 100 yrds ?
