Scopes for springers

I see many of you mention the Vortex Diamondback line of scopes. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this line fixed parallax adjusted to 100 yrds ?

Mine are set to 50 yards. I shoot mostly around 25 to 37 yards. Never had any problem (and my groups are very tight and spot on. Often I can put 5 pellets through a hole slightly larger than one pellet skirt size at 25 yards with both the 48 and asp) although sometimes I wonder what I'm missing

That's some good shooting ! What's your go-to magnification for most of your shooting?

Thank you. Usually 7 (max. I'll alternate from 5-7 mostly), and I shoot off a rest almost exclusively. I can hit the spinner off hand at around 35 yards, but its maybe a 50-50 ish. If I dont have a rest, those two guns are heavy for me to stabilize. I recently started shooting off a stick with ok results. I've posted some targets up in the past. I just shimmed my scope on the diana so will be sighting it in soon...I'll try to post another pic. When i dont get a "flier" or pull a shot, both the 48 and the asp are tack drivers. The limiting factor seems to be mostly me.

My Vortex are not Diamond Backs, but the lesser expensive CrossFire II line. Check them out....won't break the bank and are actually pretty darn good scopes. I bought one and was impressed enough with it that I bought a second one. It suits my needs, but needs do vary.

These have also appealed to me. What is the parallax set to?

I hate when you get a flyer that spoils a group. Happens to me constantly shooting the Sig. That is still good shooting for 24 yards. Seems like a higher magnification scope will produce better groups at longer distances. I also keep hearing people say that most scope issues on springers occurs when scope is set at maximum magnification. ??? I keep my Whiskey3 4-12 set at 9X. My M34 has the UTG 3-9 and is set at 6X.

Good point about the maximum magnification thing. This group is when the scope is set at 7, and goes up to 9.
