Scope stickers

I am new to the air guns (don’t even have one yet but one on order). I have a ? I see a lot of guys have scope stickers, my 22’s and PRS rifles POI changes every day due to atmospheric conditions, I constantly have to adjust using ballistic apps. Since these PCP are air only and no powder burn are they not as susceptible to POI changes due to these temp conditions etc?

Yes, there may be POI shift for various reason. Just as with your PRS rifles, you can adjust the turret, or reset them after checking the zero or you can adjust mentally. For example, you sight in, your gun in 1/10mil low, you keep a mental note and as you shoot, and dial elevation, you dial one less hash to compensate for the 1/10 mil you were off because you started 1/10 mil low. What you decide to do also depends based on the types of turrets you use. We use standard turrets as well as Scope Werks turrets. They both have their pros and cons. Below is a Scope Werks turret which is very nice because there is room for multiple projectiles, and can be adjusted easily.

It’s usually a very minimal amount if any at all that you have to compensate for. I don’t actually move the stickers, I just pull off the turret and reset to zero. I’m all honesty though, we never really do that. It’s just so simple to adjust mentally. I was just giving examples of what you can do. Just like with anything else, you’ll get the hang of it really fast once you start dialing with your PCP. We dial elevation and hold for wind.

It’s also going to depend on the adjustment values of your scope...1/10mil, 1/20mil, 1/8moa or whatever. The finer the adjustment, the more clicks you’ll have to make a mental note of and adjust. With 1/10mil for example it may be just one click off, with 1/20mil or 1/8moa, it could be three. In this sense, it’s advantageous to use the same reticle and adjustment if you use multiple scopes. It just makes it easier to always be thinking of the same value. The boys and I like to buy and use different quality optics. We have lots of scopes and on our PCP’s are currently using three different reticles and adjustment values, so we’re all on our own. Not an issue unless we switch guns and forget the value of the optic we’re using.

Sorry the picture I posted is so huge too. 😂 I had no idea when I posted it. As you can see, there is lots of room for yardages stickers and various projectile stickers if you want too. Having lots of room is one of the huge advantages to using something like the Scope Werks turrets.

Stoti thanks for all the help you have offered to all of us over the years. The same thanks to so many others here on AGN.

When you upload a picture if it is bigger than you want you can change the size by editing your post, clicking the picture and dragging the corners around till it is the size you want. The when someone wants to see it larger all they have todois clicking.
