Scope rings

My dad gave me a Thompson/Center "Hawken" Hunter Series 3 x 9 x 40 scope 1" tube.

What are a decent set of rings (dovetail) and where would be a good place to get them? I looked a Dicks's Sporting Goods and they want $30 + Is that about average?

Those look nice, but I was hoping to find them locally so I wouldn't have to wait on shipping.

Maybe check your local Walmart and see what they have? About the only real option for "need it today" kinda stuff other than the Dick's you already checked or other local sporting/gun stores you may have local to you.

$30 rings are rather pricey for 11mm/22 dovetail rings.

You can even find LEUPOLD 22 dovetail rings for $10-$13 local big chain and mom and pops sporting goods store unless they are a rip off price type store.

These should let you use the open sights.
