I have a RAW 1000x 25 call on the way and I want to get a scope for target/hunting. I am leaning toward the a Hawke Sidewinder 8-32x56. What rings should I get? Anybody have this setup?

I just received an Athlon Argos that I plan on using. (Athlon Optics Argos BTR 6-24x50 Side Focus Riflescope, 30mm, Black, FFP, APMR IR-MIL Reticle 214061). RAW recommended medium height rings for this scope size. I asked them to add their rings to my order. When are you expecting to get your rifle?

I should get it in the next few weeks. I have a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22 x 56 and rings that I will probably use until I sort out the eye relief, scope height and weight issue things. Do I really need my scope to focus down to 10 yards? I have never had a FFP scope but the thick reticle at higher power seems to not be for precise shooting. Is that the case. I really don't know.

This is my first FFP scope. I haven't mounted it. But just looking thru it, I don't fill radical's width is an issue at 24X. I think I will like no POA change at different powers and only having a single DOPE card.
