scope rings for my taipan veteran long

will any picattiny scope rings work on the top rail or are there ones that work much better than most on this platform? in other words taipan lovers, whats your preferred scope mounts for this gun? my scope is 30mm

I use these on my Cricket, Vulcan and Taipan Mutant... Medium height works fine. The 50mm version (amount of offset) works better than the 34mm, since if your scope has a large saddle they my not fit with the 34mm. These scope rings also come in 1" versions and different colors...

LOL. Rangur1 you need to do what the rest of us do. Just keep buying stuff until you get what you like. I’ve got more mounts and rings then most gun shops  

As far your taipan it has a picatinny rail(right) any picatinny ring would work as long as it’s “high” enough. So it’s really esthetics. I think the Warren (sp?) rings look the nicest. They are more expensive but if you don’t mind the money. If you do get on amazon and look them over. Lots of Chinese made stuff for little money.

I like the Leapers UTG Max Strength Picatinny Rings in medium height. I have several of these on my Taipans, Kalibrguns, and Vulcans. From reading several other posts on here about what rings most other Taipan owners find a best fit it would have to be medium height rings. This works well for the 30mm tubes and 50mm objectives and maybe larger like 56mm. Optics Planet has a 10% off sale right now too that I took advantage of for other items.

I’m using the swfa SS medium rings and a swfa 3-15 scope and everything is hunky dory. They’re nice for the money. What’s really nice now is that I’m comfy looking through my scope with my cheek on papy yosh’s cheek rest. It’s a nice piece of kit. Enjoy your long, I’m enjoying mine

well, i checked out and bought 2 sets of rings based on the recomendations i got here, i finally went with the one piece utg mentioned by centercut and i got it in anodized red to match the donnyfl speed HST i also put on it. looks great! now how do i upload pics from my phone?

only did some inside shooting at 20 yds, no challenge for this gun. weather has been shlockey lately. rain or high winds. will give it a try next week outside at real distances.

I know this is an old thread but I need to ask, did you end up going 34mm or 50mm offset ? I’m trying to buy the exact scope mount you have for the taipan veteran standard.
