Scope recommendations for old Diana 34?

Yes I did! Also bought the recommended BKL 1 piece 11mm droop compensating mount. Very happy camper. I've been a powder-burner all my life and am just getting into airguns. Oh boy, I can see I'm going to have some of those PCP's in the very near future.

I don’t have a chronometer so I wonder what the muzzle velocity of this rifle should come in at. I know it will vary with pellet weight but can someone give me a general approximation of what I should expect? Thanks again for all the help, Robert

I debated on a droop mount for my 34's but figured I'd wait and see if it was needed. I never wasn't anything close to running out of elevation adjustment on either of my 34's so it wasn't needed.

Don't know what caliber yours is but this is the velocity yours should be around as stated below. I think the older 34's had lower velocities than the newer ones. Based on the age of yours this is apx velocity.
.177cal 8.5 gr. 850-900 fps
.22cal. 14.5 gr. 700-750 fps
