Scope recommendations for compact wildcat

personally i try to steer clear of a 'heavy' scope on a compact squirrel liquidation device .. a straight 4X gamo 1" scope is hard to beat, but i finally found something better with a westhunter 4x16ffp .. just works .. may be the ultimate squirrel scope on the planet in my own opinion .. some of those 12ish power scopes have a pathetic reticle and field of view and can weigh literally double of even the westhunter if your not watching it .. switching to either of the two i mentioned would be like 'there we go, now it's on'

Micro,
Had a WestHunter 6-24x50 on Wildcat MK3 Sniper, was long, heavy and with non-impressive glass edge clarity. A member reported a closeout sale on a Vector Veyron 3-12x44FFP compact scope so gave it a try. Short, lightweight with impressive features, plus amazingly bright and clear optics made this a perfect fit for the Wildcat. I've since purchased two more VVs (6-24x44 FFP), one for pre-ordered Uragan 2 and one to replace another so-so scope. Optics Warehouse (UK) has VVs at good prices, fast shipping, too. WM

I just put a 4-20x50 1" tube on a carbine of mine It has a small illuminated dot. The scope is as clear as the Leopold 6x18 it replaced. Athlon Argus HMR 4-20x50 SFP. I originally went with a Monstum 3-18x50 FFP 30mm tube. Nice looking scope with a lot of warts, clarity being one of them. So back it went. I purchased the Athlon from Amazon for $275 (open box). Its a nice scope and light weight. I would look at this company again.

Thank you, Dave, that is a lot less actual cost than the declared cost found on their shipping page where (if I remember correctly) they state that from c. 2lbs to 6lbs it costs around $80 to ship to the US.

Great news. 👍🏼😊

Based on your info, I should make up my mind and order. ⭐

Some of the discounted prices are beyond believable.

Mathias,
ThomasT mentioned Optics Warehouse (UK) recently, he deserves credit. Searched everywhere but could only find the Veyron on Amazon for $295(free ship), decided to visit Optics Warehouse, found not only product but great prices. The same model in Illuminated Reticle was sold out but recently is available, more expensive, though. Looking at invoice, in English pounds, Product 162.46, Shipping 35.42, grand total 197.88. Credit card was charged $224.33 (USD). Purchased same thing few days ago, with earned points discount and in-house coupon, credit card charge was $13 higher, still a great deal, considering adding 7% Florida sales tax to Amazon's price. Looking for a quality scope for a wildcat compact bottle preferably 4 x 12, or 4 x 16 power,30 mm tube, 50 mm objective primary uses backyard Target and squirrel hunting illuminated reticle would be a plus. I had bad luck with Hawk Scopes so I'd rather not
What have you decided on?
