I'm sorry as my choice may ruffle some feathers ... but I am sold on the Aztec Emerald. I have had the Aztec Emerald 5-25x50 now for a little over a month and I swear by the darn thing. For the price point ($400) I really don't think you could do any better unless you were to go with the Sightron or the SWFA ... but for some reason I just love that Aztec for it's ability to hold POA and the EXTREMELY POSITIVE clicks and adjustments to windage and elevation ... no mushiness in there whatsoever ... when you move it over 2 clicks to the left, you know darn well that it moved two clicks to the left. The ability to repeat itself through multiple tracking boxes is better than anything I have ever seen ... not at 20 yards as I have seen some people do but at 45 yards. The reticle is absolutely fantastic with 10 POA above the center dot and 30 below. The lines are very fine so they don't hide your target. At 65 yards where I am zeroed at ... the center dot doesn't even cover the .25" target I am shooting at on 25X. The zoom is clear throughout the entire range from 5Xto 25X. My Hawke Sidewinder seems to look just a little more vivid in the sight picture ... it seems that the greens are just a little more green, the blues just a little more blue, the reds just a little more red ... but truthfully, not by much ... and certainly not enough to justify the price point of the Hawke. I am using FX No Limit mounts on it and they are as good or better than anything I have ever mounted ... methinks the FX mounts go for about $82 and the Aztec goes for $399 from AoA and the scope has a lifetime warranty. Just my two cents ... hope it helps.
