Scope recommendation for FWB 300

I like the compact scopes on a FWB . Makes loading much easier . My favorites in no particular order are.

Leupold freedom 3-9efr

Leupold mark ar 4-12

Athlon Talos 4-14

Bushnell AR 2-7, and 3-9

Hawke Vantage 2-7, and 3-9

Weaver rimfire

Nikon efr 3-9

Vector 10X

and if you can find a nice used one Burris made some really nice compact scopes years back .

I just ordered a WSFA 20 for my 300 which is to land tomorrow. Shouldn’t be a problem with barrel droop since it’s a side lever. However the loading port may be. I’ll elevate the scope as much as required.

Ive been doing what joe suggested using 11mm to picatinny adaptors on my guns because that way rings are interchangeable. In fact I’ve converted all of my powder burners to picatinny.

As far as the Athlon scopes I have a Helios and another which is a grade below and I like the scopes. I ordered the SWFA based on Joe’s recommendation so I’ll see what I think

I really wanted a vintage leupold but they just bring too much money and when you get used to 30mm tubes and the newer reticles it’s hard to give that up any then pay twice as much

Green arrow, do you have experience with Alton Talos? I have 2 Hawk’s on other rifles that I’m happy with.

No issues with bases or mounts as I have the 4-16 x40mm Tasco on the gun now.

Harves,

i do not have any experience with the Athlon brand scopes. I did not buy the one I added to the cart. I decided not to spend the money at the moment but I would like to try one someday. My 300 has a Beeman Blue Ribbon 66r 2-7x32 scope on it. 7x just isn’t enough power for those longer ranges that I like to shoot with the 300. 20 yards and under it’s fine but past that I could use more magnification.
