Scope recommendation for FWB 124

I'm restoring my old FWB 124 (.177) that sat in my safe for thirty years and servicing it with an FWB 124-127 Pro Mac Kit - Max Power from Air Rifle Headquarters. I want to replace the Weaver Bushnell 6-18 scope whose parallex adjustment is a non-side adjustment. I don't see a model on the scope but would like to consider a FFP Mil reticle scope that is spring air rifle rated with a 3x or 4x zoom range with a max zoom of 18X or better.

I have had excellent results with this Hawke model BUT misses your requirements of 18x & FFP.

I have read mixed reviews, generally good but a recent one reported a bent tube and moisture behind the lens. Sounds like the scope may have been abused, but the person reporting did not mention any abuse, rather disappointed in a scope at that price level.

Thank you, but I'm looking also for parallax adjustment on the side.

The Airmax compact is side adjustable for parallax. I did miss your requirement for 18x so try this one

I had an old Beeman blue ribbon in 3-9 on mine initially from around 1980, but have since returned it to wearing only the old Williams diopter that I had put on it back about 1975

FWB 124 is a small lightweight rifle, mine is the deluxe model. The stock is designed more for open sights and like I stated after about 40 years I went back to a receiver sight, The gun handles better and is plenty accurate for my style shooting. Not quite as accurate as a scoped gun, especially off a bench. I did also replace the factory front with an Anschuts diopter front, with interchangeable inserts At 77 years old, in a couple of weeks, I have to say I am trending back to metallic(diopter) type sights in preference to scopes, Now the only scoped guns I have are those which are designed specifically for scope use, with no way to mount a front iron sight.

I will be the first to admit that I like a higher power scope for off the bench shooting, but I like to stand up and shoot offhand, and with somethink like the 6-24 Hawke, the inherent movement that is more apparent with magnification even at the lowest 6 power setting is hard to overcome. Higher power with a good rest contributes greatly to accuracy, but I get more fun out of bouncing cans around or hitting some spinner type targets, and I do have to use closer ranges than when using a benched scoped rifle, Same goes for my pistols, old fashioned irons are more fun than red dots or scopes, and I have a hard time with a scope on a pistol. I have seen none that I can use at arms length but have to hold it back a bit closer which again makes it a benched are greatley rested affair.
