Scope Options?

Hi all,

My son and I purchased our first air rifle today, a Gamo Big Cat Maxxim, and I’m wondering if there are alternative options to the stock scope that it came with?

I’ve read that the stock scope isn’t too reliable but the mounting system seems to be proprietary since it has the downward pin.

Any advice is much appreciated!

Check out one of the Discovery Scopes for the money they cost they are a good choice and the vendor is honest and reliable the vt1 4-16 would work. When you first log on to the site you’ll get a pop up that will give you 10% off remember to pick the rings that you’ll need they are included.

I'm still suspicious of the Discovery scopes. Looks just like another half dozen different branded Chinese scopes that have come and gone the last few years. The UTG scopes that are advertised as being their "True Strength" platform have been proven for years on piston guns. The warranty is good as long as you are the original owner.

I own 3 Discovery scopes and they all perform as advertised. I also have 3 UTG scopes 2 of them are not sharp at maximum zoom, they do have a good warranty but they won’t fix the fuzzy view at max magnification. UTG is Chinese made as well as just about all scopes under $500. Bushnell and Burris have nice scopes with fantastic warranty but they are not in the price range that MadMench is looking at.
