Scope mounts

I guess I posted the same issue in the wrong area. I was wondering if an air gunner can shoot 100 yards with standard two piece rings, or does he need adjustable rings to get a .22 caliber pcp rifle out that far? I'm try ing to set up a gun, and have zero experience with air gunning that far. Don't want to buy more than I need, or buy twice. I will definitely need two piece mounts to clear the magazine. Thanks for the help.

Burris signature rings w/the inserts will do the trick, as will FX No Limit rings. OR, just put a 10 thousandths shim between the bottom of the rear ring and the scope. . Works every time! Can always add a second if needed. if so, don't over tighten the ring.

No problemo clearing the mag. Shooting 100m with a .22 should not be a problem with a sufficiently powered PCP. Get a 30mm scope with a good reticle enabling sufficient holdover and you're in business.

I don't see a magazine to clear. Doesn't matter at this point anyway, I guess. I was on the phone getting some adjustable mounts.

Eagle Vision Infinity mounts or a warne one piece 20moa mount would be my picks.

All depends on your rifle, scope and rings setup. Most of the "high power" rifles with modern scope shouldn't run out of elevation at 100y, my best advice is to use any mounts you have on hand and see if works for you if not pickup adjustable mounts of your choice, I'm a big fan of Burris XTR mounts.

If you need more angle for distance, buy adjustable rings. Much less chance of damaging a scope, though many say it works well for them. I prefer SportsMatch myself. I"ve never shimmed scopes.
