Having just answered a second recent inquiry about the scope mounts I used to sell for vintage Crosman Co2 rifles and pistols, thought I'd share my response (for whatever it's worth). If nothing else, just useless airgun trivia.
Your email seems to suggest my selling scope mounts to scope otherwise unscope-able vintage Crosmans for a quarter century might not have been just my imagination.
I started selling them in the 1980s in response to inquiries from readers of my articles in American Airgunner magazine, that contained photos of my scoped Crosmans. I tried to just tell folks they could buy them at K Mart for $11/set, but they kept asking if I'd just sell them some. So I did.
When the mounts could no longer be found in retail stores, I started buying them from the manufacturer in small quantities (Kwik Site). But once my sales fell to a level that it was no longer worth bothering with them, at some point Kwik Site started selling them to individuals on their website (by then for near $30 set, but having gone through 2 or 3 evolutions for the better in two decades).
Your's being the second inquiry in the past month or so, my two, hour-long expeditions into cyberspace in search of ANY proof these things actually existed seems to indicate Kwik Site is not only out of business,
I wanted to at least give you the correct model number to search for, but could not find it. However the Leupolds linked below will work similarly, but not as sturdy. My mounts were about 50% wider, and used 2 Allen screws per mount. You could always use 2 sets of the Leupolds to increase stability.
I'm attaching a photo of my mounts on a 160 for reference only.
Sorry,
Ron
