I use Wheeler Engineering levels on all of mine.

I might go all out and use gorilla glue

I am looking for one to mount on the gun for shooting.

If you really want to up your game, you can glue on a machinist's level like the Starrett 98-6 which indicates .005" per foot level, but I think you'll drive yourself to drink trying to correct for cant!

When mounting scope, try one of these. They are $30.00 at Home Depot. They are very sensitive.
