Dairy I have had tested many scopes and have saw major shifts when scope is dialed and fif not return to zero , I also had issues with adjusting zoom and it would change POI ,
Sounds like a scope with innards loose tolerances or turret springs lost their ability to tension things , If you have a solid mount for a scope like a weighted pic rail and a target at 50 or 100 yards you could see just how well it tracks and when banging what moves , in any event it cant be trusted , send it in to be fixed and use something else for now ,
Ps I had alot of scopes which not only were off on mils or moa vs turret numbers but also where it tracked like on an angle , and a lot of cheaper name brand scopes if not optically centered , stop moving well before they should I had 1 which clicked 23 times with 0 movement ,
Now on turrets most china optics are 2 points of holding turrets tension-ed some better japan scopes have 3 points of springs , Now tier 1 German glass all run 5 points of anchoring and springs which is why they rarely have any shifts or are off over .5% off when is less then 1/2 of 1 % to 0 %
I check all my optics weather for testing review or If they in my personal collection , and I have saw alot of errors threw years , but latley with better cnc machines alot of cheap stuff is actually quite good now compared to a few years back ,
