Scope Info Requested! Benjamin Trail NP2 .22

Hey all!! I appreciate the info that you all have given me so far, me being new to air gunning.

someone recently gave some info on scopes and I am looking into upgrading slightly for now....so I'm looking to stay around $100, maybe up to $125.

id love some recommendations, some likes and dislikes and advice :) I've read some of the threads that exist now, and man would it be easy to drop $500 on a scope! Until I really get into this hobby, I'd like to eat the bottom line, but still want quality (don't we all?!). I've heard Hawke, Leapers, UTG, Centerpoint....

thanks again, everyone!
Found a UTG I'm leaning towards
-Benjamin Trail NP2 SBD .22

Go on the PA site look at the UTG and Hawk scopes in that price range and check the reviews. Had warranty claims with both companies because of a gun like yours (Benjamin XL). Both companies stood behind their scopes and were easy to deal with and had new scopes in my hand within 2 weeks. Still have them and function just fine on the guns they are on. Both scopes in that price range have ok glass but when you go up in price the hawks are hard to beat. IMHO.

Check out the Athlon 4-12 x 40. Lifetime warranty and clear as heck.

I have one mounted on a Hatsan 135 Vortex QE .22 so if it can take that beating it will do just fine on a Trail NP2.

Jadocs: Can you reply back with the actual link to that scope? That is a REALLY nice setup you have there..!!
Thanks..!!...AK....

Sure here you go. You can get it even cheaper if you don’t choose the illuminated reticle. The illuminated mil dot will run $139. I’ve been very impressed with it, and I have high end Leupold’s on my firearms.

I like the Centerpoint 3-9x40AO mildot that came on my Benjamin Trail NP XL725. And the Hammers 4-12x40AO mildot scope with Instapark magnum air rifle mount on my Winchester 1400cs. Both are holding up very well on two magnum air rifles that kick hard.

That said, I'm having to remove the Hammers 4-bolt rail from the Hammers 3-9x32AO mildot scope on my Striker 1000x scope killer. The hammers 3-9x32AO mildot cope is perfect...but I can't stop the mounts from walking backward. So, I hit on an idea. I first complained to Hatsan USA about the problem with the scope mount screw sheering off. So they're sending me some scope stop bits free, even though my 1000x is just out of warranty. I explained that I repaired, restored and modify air rifles. And what I was going to attempt with two of their scope stops and a custom spacer between them, as they'll be together now between scope rings. When loctited together, it should solve the problem on an otherwise very accurate, un-pellet-picky rifle!

I say get a UTG bug buster 3x9x32AO
Or a Hammers 3x9x32AO
I suggest a one piece scope mount.
The UTG is a better scope in all but the Hammers is lighter. I have both. The Hammers mil dot is smaller than the UTG
Either one is a good scope for medium range. I feel the NPs and other gas rams are really a 20-40 yard gun, but I have made shots out to about 80. The above scopes are pretty good for the medium range. The further you shoot the larger the objective lens, and higher magnification maybe required
What ever you get make sure it has an Adjustable Objective
