Several months ago, I bought a scope from a fellow AGN member and to my surprise, the scope came with FX No-limit scope mounts. The FX No-limit mounts are 11mm dovetail mounts and I have been wanting to put them on my .35 cricket but I had a hard time trying to figure out how. I finally found a picatinny to dovetail adopter and the scope does mount on to the gun but theirs a problem; the scope is too high.

Here is another angle

The mount under the scope is the what I originally had for the scope and as you can see, the scope is almost an inch higher. I want to use the FX No-limit mounts to take 100 yards or more shots by adjusting the scope mounts. The way I tired to accomplish this with out the FX No-limit mounts was by zeroing the gun at 75 yards and using the 5th mildot holdover for 100+ yards. I believe the set up above could work for coyote hunting but the majority of my hunts this setup is impractical. So I thought.....
I decided to enter the information into ChairGun Pro and this is what it spit out for both setups:
POI for 1.97 inches (original setup)

POI for 3.38 inches

Mildots for 1.97 inches

Mildots for 3.38 inches

This is the scope's radical Hold-under and Hold-over for 1.97 inches

This is the scope's radical Hold-over for 3.38 inches

Their are a few things I learned from the graphs.
The higher the scope:
- the further out you can shoot
- PBR(point blank range) has more yards. 16 yards to 54 yards with a small area thats only 1.5 inches Hold-under
- both the scope's two zeros are closer together.
- You almost don't have Hold-under
The lower the scope:
- Closer shots are easier to shoot
- The two PBR have less yards
- scope's two zeros are further apart
- You have to deal with Hold-under shots
From the comparisons of the two scope heights, you would think mounting your scope very high is the way to go for airguns but theirs is one big flaw; The scope is very uncomfortable to shot with the scope so high. This is all theoretical so I don't know if the numbers will correspond with real world shooting. After looking over the numbers, measuring the graphs, and searching the internet for 11mm dovetail rail to mount to my cricket, I decided to call AOA today and hope they know where I could find a 11mm dovetail rail that would work. After all my hard work, AOA informs me FX will be coming out with a picatinny FX No-limit mount in a few months
