Scope for FX King

Hello

Looking for some info for a scope to mount on a FX King! My distance of shooting will be 25 yards to a little over 100 yards. Mainly (red) squirrels, crows, pigeons and rabbits. Do you guys perfer 1st or 2nd focal point WHY??
Im open on price to a certain point. would like to stay around 500-700 dollars.. Will for sure take 100 yard shots.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Thx

Just my opinions. Also don't cheap out, you won't regret a decent optic if your airgun is precise.

First focal always because your calculations and poi don't change based on zoom you zeroed with vs zoom you're using. You can miss, take mental note of where it hit if you saw with the reticle and make valid adjustments with what you saw.

I like my buddies arken, my arken hasn't shipped yet I love my element helix, and I love my zulus that is set for ffp(doesnt matter because it calculates for you.) I have a 2nd focal plane $$ vortex viper that I hate no matter what I put it on. Powder burner to my impact, impact to my dreamline, dreamline to my discovery. The 200 dollar discovery shoots good enough I'm peeling an 800 dollar 2fp scope off a crosman because the crosman is too good for it.

Sorry for the tangent, I'm just really mad at myself for spending that much on a 2fp turd.

I forgot the zoom part, did the calculations in strelok for a 68 yard shot and was 24 inches low on the pigeon. Just because of zoom choice.
