ha! I get it - just curious on the actual ruling. I'm scope shopping and want to make sure it would fit within the rules should I ever choose to use it.
Scope Magnification maximum of 32x The way I read this is your scope cannot be capable of more than 32x
When we shoot hunter field target with max of 16x, the rules specifically state that you can use a scope capable of greater than 16x but you cannot use higher than 16x. I believe the rules would need to specify scopes with greater magnification than 32 are able to be used and under what conditions.
EDIT: I sent an email to EBR and they responded that you could use a higher magnification scope but it must be set to 32X if the scope has a barrel marking 32X. If not it must be set to the next lower setting less than 32X. Hope this helps!
Much appreciated Dan! I emailed but didn’t hear back or missed the reply. Thank you. I may just use my Sightron at 30x which I believe is its closest marked setting to 32x
