Scope base?

I have a fx wildcat mk2. I’m pretty sure awhile back I seen you can change out the 11 mm dovetail to a picatinny rail. If so pro’s/con’s? I know they make a picatinny rail to go on top of the dovetail but you that’s not what I’m looking for. Also if anyone has pics I could see. Also links where I can find them.

so why is a weaver picatinny rail better, you have a endless amount of ring choices, red dot scopes for the most part have that type of mount, better holding, that is a start

It seems the picatinny rail is the current mount of choice. The are some advantages as I see it. First the mounting surface is much large then a 11 mm dove tail allowing a more secure scope attachment. The other advantage that I like is with the picatinny you can use a one piece ring (mount) system allowing easy scope swaps from one gun to another. There is nothing that you can’t do using other mounting systems I just think with the pic it’s a little easier. I’ve put picatinny tails on all my powder burners and some of the air rifles.

Some of the air rifles are nicely designed so that you have a choice. The cricket comes to mind

Does anyone make a picatinny rail with a built in droop?

It was stated that an adapter was not desired but 11mm to picatinny adapter with droop compensation is available from UTG.-PA has them. Not sure about a rail alone with such.
