Scope Base Mounting?

Looking for some advice on mounting scopes. All my experience is with traditional rifles. I am not familiar with the rail mounts I am seeing on a lot of the springers I am looking at. I believe in buy right / buy once but I also am aware of the law of diminishing returns. What are some good entry level bases? Are they all the same or do certain springers require certain bases? Do you find they require lapping?

They can be different, arbitary answer is getting a known good mount, some springers are better with a one piece mount ,some springer have barrel droop, viagra won't work for them, but there are some one piece mounts that have a droop correction built in.
My advice it to get the air gun you want then ask what is the best mount for it.Same thing for the best low buck scope ,yes the scope needs to be spinger safe, again ask when you have the air rifle, just my opinion
