What's the going rate for a decommissioned firefighters tank? Found someone selling 45 min 310bar bottles no current hydro test but still life (08)

$50 would be plenty! 1st. Go to your local VOLUNTEER fire department. Make friends with the chief and tell him what you're doing. He may several for the asking. FD's are always replacing bottles!

The tank shown has 2 years left on the 15 year limit. If you have a compressor look for tanks that are expired. Should be able to find those cheap. My fire protection distributor would still ask $150-175 for that tank but sells me expired tanks & valve for $35-50. Seen expired tanks on Ebay for same amount.

Don’t know if you were looking at the same Craigslist ad that I was, but there is an ad here in the Phoenix area selling that exact same tank for $60. I actually bought the same one two years for $75 off ebay when they had 4 years remaining on the15 year life. If they take offers I would try maybe $30-35 and see if they counter.
