Scales to weight pellets

I need some suggestions on a scale that can weight pellets. I'd like (?) to keep the price below $50 if at all possible but don't know if it is. I used to have all of this stuff around 4 decades ago when I use to reload PB but had to travel way to far to be able to shoot and just gave it up and sold everything. lol

I use a little Hornady reloading scale. It’s accurate for this kind of thing and cheap. I think it was $25-$30.

Mine is accurate enough to weigh powder when I’m hand loading, so it’s certainly good enough for pellets. I’ve had it a long time with no problems. Hornady also has a little flip open scale that is smaller. I have one of those too and it works fine. Not sure if the price though. Have a good one. Stoti

I have a few of the under $30 scales I have found them all to be accurate I would say you can’t go wrong on this purchase just make sure the range is to at least 2 decimals in reading gr

I use a Triton T2 400 to weigh out cure#1 when I make bacon. It has a .01g accuracy.

agreed on the 2 decimal places. My scale only has one decimal, and it becomes a matter of intuition when a pellet is _just_ heavy enough to start the scale flipping back and forth from 7.9 to 8.0 and back.....

I tried the cheepo scales,not very accurate in as far as they will not give you the same weight of a given pellet.

Useless !

Looking for something more accurate myself. I have a fairly decent one. But I just got out a tin of pellets I weighed a month ago and reweighed them as I loaded them single shot. Nowhere near accurate. I had pellets of all different weights in there. I think this scale must be crap.

So, looking for a better one. Suggestions would be appreciated.

i got the Franklin Arsenal it’s a little pricey at $89 I got mine when Midway had a sale. Comes in a case and can work off AC or batteries.

When your scales get wonky, and won't give consistent measurements, check the batteries. Min went completely bonkers, and when I changed the batteries all went back to normal

One thing I want to say about scales. I have $20 scale and a $90 scale when I weigh pellets I group them and then I test to see which weight gives me more consistency. Let’s say 15.88 grams gives me the results I want so I sort all my pellets and only use the 15.88 for all serious shooting the rest going into my plinking box.

i buy another scale and see that 15.88 doesn’t do it any longer I now need 15.90 for optimum shooting. 

What this proves I don’t care what scale you buy the results you get are only pertaining to your guns. If 15.89 are best for me and your exact same setup likes 15.75 who cares which scale is more correct. We are weighing lead not gold.the scale you use is going to be consistent but if is not correct it doesn’t matter. Just make sure your battery is good and don’t worry that your scale isn’t the most accurate. 

Jewelers need an absolutely perfect scale as hopefully they want to be honest to their customers. Shooter just need that one pellet to weigh the same every day

The scale you buy just needs to be consistent.

There's a couple of pain points with the cheaper scales that I have used - 1) the processors are really slow and 2) it's tough getting the ammo lined up perfectly centered to weigh them. It can take up to a couple of minutes in extreme circumstances to weigh them.
