New to this forum, and I'll be honest, I'll be working towards contributing my 10 posts so I can deal in the classifieds. I'm pretty well a noob in terms of these fancy pellet rifles, but I did buy a used Brocock Contour S6 off another forum maybe 3 yrs ago to deal with a pesky problem of the ring-collared doves, and have found the precision of these PCP rifles to be very enjoyable. I'm not educated enough into the hobby to have expensive taste, and I hope to keep it that way. In the event I can get my 10 posts (hard as I'm not into social media or forums for the most part) than expect me to want a phone call for you to explain your rifle and how to make it work. I'm not helpless, I already did a full seal change up on my Brocock and it's back to working, but again I'm trying to stay ignorant enough to not appreciate the fine and spendy taste of the hobby. Hence why I would rather buy used from one of you that can explain these things and already have a rifle tuned up. I'm already overly invested in too many firearms and bows to get passionate about another wireless hole puncher.

If you read this far, I do have one question. My Brocock seems very sensitive to handling. If it's stood in a corner and gets knocked over, my sights will jump inches off and require me to re-zero. This happened twice before my seal fix and again once after, so I don't feel it's from my workmanship. I know, treat is better and all that, but is this common to PCP rifles?

Lastly, if by chance anyone on here likes custom knives, I'm open to trading for the right rifle. I post pictures of my knives on Instagram and FB, although admittedly I don't tend to spend any time on social media other than posting them and replying to messages. You can find my work just by googling "rawcustom knives".

Thank you!

Welcome. The good news is you don't have to spend a lot to get a rewarding, hard-hitting PCP. Buy a good low maintenance compressor and let it rip.
So far I've been using a hand pump that looks like a bicycle tire pump. I enjoy it as workout in addition to the shooting. My boy is looking into getting one, which if happens I will probably look into a compressor. I guess I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Some guns are more sensitive to barrel bumps (FX comes to mind) than others. Typically the Czech made guns such as RTI, AGT and Tapian are built like tanks and are not sensitive to bumping the barrel out of alignment effecting your POI. Welcome to the rabbit hole and I hope you stick around as a contributor.

Thanks for the info. First thought was a cheap scope but after upgrading optics and mounts it happened again.

Sounds good. I hand pumped my Marauder pistol and Maximus for 6 years. I bought an Air Venturi Rovair direct fill compressor last year. Low maintenance and pretty quiet. Now I easily shoot 3x the number of pellets per session, usually more. It also allows you to get into guns that are not hand pump friendly.

Welcome to Airgun Nation. Pre charged pneumatics with optics can change POI after a good bump. I am pretty sure everyone who owns a PCP goes down that rabbit hole.

Another vote for czech made PCP's. I have a Taipan vet .25 that is very robust and has ignored my casual neglect.

I recently purchased a GX compressor and have had good results so far.

Enjoy the rabbit hole.

Hello I’m trying to do the same

Welcome! Yes, those classifieds ... I like knives. Was way more into bayonets for a time, but more display than would ever actually use. Down to just a KA-BAR and a small pocket or peanut knife - think a US made Schrade. One too big and one to small  My son really took to the Damascus steel knives and swords. Overall, I have always gravitated towards military surplus stuff i.e. Navy MK1 PAL RH-35. If the military had made PCP air rifles ... I'd have one! These air rifles are highly addictive IMHO.
