Saturday morning starling

Woke up with full intentions on taking advantage of the nice weather we are having. Little brisk, but should be in the low 50s today.

Brought out the BSA Ultra JSR for some 20-40 yard groups and it's not disappointing. Took 2 starlings, one was able to be recovered. The other is in the main branch of my silver maple out back.

Took this shot from about 20 yards and felt confident with a head shot off hand. Put the crosman HP 14.3 right behind the eye, and it didn't exit. He clung to the branch and blood rained out of his head, was a beautiful shot!

Don't mind the butt extension, it's a work in progress lol.

Hoping to get s few more this weekend, but they and the the sparrows are getting more elusive. They definitely learn from watching their buddies die!

Great shooting with such a cool BSA mini carbine! Hope you finish the extension soon, Happy New Year 🎈!
Thanks man! It's my first BSA and definitely won't be my last! The left hand magazine insert is actually pretty cool, you can just glance down without pulling away from the scope and see how many shots are left. Clearly indicated on the top.
