My sam yang recluse is getting the power tune kit from AAO installed this weekend hoping for some power improvement over what I did which was 180 ftlbs with 105 gr slug all ready I can see a heavier hammer and spring and a larger transfer port

Well it bumped up the power from 180 ftlbs to 225 ftlbs 158 gr doing 802 fps which is pretty good. The biggest choke point is where the port goes into the barrel can only get ported to .294 but that's all right it will do for what I use it for

Oops I weighed the bullets to check to make sure I was right found out it's 125 gr at 802 for about 180 ftlbs so I didn't really gain anything over my mods . I'll have to try some heavier bullets out and see what I get I guess

Thanks for the post & real world facts and updates.
Does that use a Delrin or (or better) valve stem poppet/head ? I would think it should be right at 200fpe.

I tried the nsa 178 gr hollow points and got 722 fps which is 206 ftlbs I'm happy with that
