Tuning Saber Tactical mono-pod Impact

I was impressed with the Saber mono-pod for the Impact the first time I saw it. Unfortunately the butt-stock has been back ordered forever well I finally had enough of waiting so I fitted it to the factory stock and it works very well I may not get the butt-stock the pod was designed for not much of a need now. 

If anyone has similar thoughts (yes it can work) its pretty simple couple holes and some threaded inserts and your good to go

The insert I used is zinc coated steel ribbed rivet nut

The local Fastnal didn't have SS ones on hand I may change them out to SS.

I used a standard drill bit to make the through hole to the diameter of the screw then a larger bit to the depth of the insert both are 10-32 same as the supplied hardware the screw is 1.00" SS shcs.

Threadmate vc-3 is a great reusable thread lock. You apply it to the engaging thread portion of the fastener and let it dry then secure the fastener. It doesn't harden like standard locktight and you can loosen/remove the fastener then reinstall without reapplying VC-3.
