s410 is leaking

Hello everyone,

I just pulled my 2004 air arms s410 xtra out for the first time in a while and it had lost all it's air. I have had this gun since new and have not needed to do anything to it, always worked great until today. I guess I can't complain it's a great rifle, I orderd an oring kit from ebay and was wondering if anyone has any advise about things I should change while I have it apart given its age. The leak seems to be from under the receiver area.

Well you could add a regulator. Thats about the only thing you can change unless you wanted to change out the air cylinder for a different sized one. The o-ring kit will take care of any age related maintenance so thats about it besides mods.

Thanks for the info, I have been thinking about a regulator but do not know if it would be worth it on this gun. It shoots at 32 ft. lbs and I get 30 consistant shots before it drops off. I have a 25 marauder that I think would benifit greatly from a reg but I can't decide which one to choose, any opinion on what would work best and not cost too much?

If you get a regulator buy an extra hammer with sleeves to play with. Also a new hammer spring, valve, and valve return spring. No use in leaving old parts in the gun when you're going knees deep with a regulator.
