S400 questions

I have an older Accurate Arms S400 extra fac I bought it here in Arizona in 2010. I got it out of the back of the gun cabinet today. It was still full of air and is in immaculate condition. I had thought about robbing the scope off of it. I thought I may as well shoot it while I had it out. I only shot it on my patio because of time. But it still shot point of aim and shot them into one hole at 22 yards. I havnt ever even resealed this gun. I then shot some pig silhouettes with it. That rifle holds great. My reasons for buying the PCP that replaced it was its loud set with the adjuster on high power if I remember it was a little over 1000fps. And I hate using a single shot when pesting. Now to the questions???

Is there a simple way to hold the power adjustment in a position. There are no detents. Shooting around the middle its not too loud for my situation. Second are any of the after market magazines reliable and simple to install?

No on the mag well not easily, except to trade it for a410. But the power adjust should stay put sounds tkie friction ring is loose or shrunk

Nothing is wrong with the power adjuster knob. It is as designed. I never trusted a friction knob. I figure it would get bumped. So I either have always left it in either extreme position.

Call Mike at TKO a call for a slip on LDC. Never had any issues with any of my AA power adjusters moving. There was a universal add on magazine way back when you may want to do a search. Magazine upgrade there used to be but expensive I would try and contact the guy who 3d prints them from overseas DARKO. YO!

Some anal folks drill and tap a screw to anchor their power adjuster in place but that's going to deface the gun. I would use JB weld if you want to make it permanent. YO!

Only company that i know is Rowan enginering,s they magazine kits, you need to index it your self.

A original or printed magazine will not work, because the breech is different.

Most seals stay good a long time on the Air Arms models, Only problem i had on my s500 after sitting a while was that the probe seal blow out after a few time shooting.

You'll havevto look up the size, it may be 1.5mm x 1mm but an oring between the inside of the knob, against the assembly has worked very well on my S500 Extra Fac.
