Does anyone know about what SN they dropped the adjustable trigger on these guns?

The adjustable trigger was included on pistols up until around serial number Q045,000.

A very small number of Smith 78g/79g pistols were sent in under a recall that was issued in 1983 and had their trigger modified to be "drop safe". (This increased the pull weight and length of pull, resulting in a trigger that is just short of horrible!) I've only come across a few Smith pistols with this mod, and one was a nice, early Smith that should have had an adjustable trigger!

Does anyone know how big the pourus casting issue was on the very early guns? Was it a lot of them, a few???
