RWS droop mounts too long!

I just found out that my three new RWS droop mounts scope rings are too long, by about half an inch, for my three Hawke Vantage scopes. Guess I could cut out the middle section and make it a shorter two piece mount. I just reinstalled my old one pice mount and see if the gives out as centered the gun was shooting about 4 inches low at about 12yards. Disappointed fur sure. Three boats anchors with zero use. Just wanted you to know about the problem so you can avoid trying it. Charles

The DNT06 with low picatinny rings works well

I ran into that too. I think it was a BKL mount. I ate a Discovery scope 10x40 or 50. Piece of junk. You'll have to look at the specs for the scope if they have them. Hawke scopes provides them and the BKL scope site provides specs like overall length and height.
