My long time beloved Diana 54 Airking .22 tuned by Vortek PG2 kit and many improvements made as advised by Hector Medina is shooting great.
Today I took it out after more than a year and started shooting it using an ordinary peep sight and H&N ftt 14.66 grain pellets.
I shot it at 24 yards in my house. After a few initial shots the gun started shooting great.
Then I shot a 10 shot group at 24 yards, peep sight and ftt 14.66 grain pellets at around 760 fps.
The group is amazingly nice. I am not in the practice of using peep sight for a long time.
After shooting this group I recalled that many years ago when I had scope on this gun, I shot group at same distance in presence of my friends who had got PCP guns at that time while I had only this springer. All my 5 shots passed through a hole of the size of .25". A clean hole.
It was enough to make my friends envy of my this gun.
I believe that if I scope it again, it would shoot similar groups again.
In no wind conditions it was 1/2" to 3/4" CTC at 50 yards.
Today's peep sight group is 11.76mm which becomes CTC 6.26mm.
It's 15 years old gun.
