Was getting ready to purchase the new RWS 54 Laminate Pro. After talking to the folks at Airgun Depot and Pyramydair they told me if I added a sling swivel to the butt of the rifle it voids the warranty. RWS put a sling swivel on the front so I guess if I want to use the swivel to mount a bipod that’s okay but if I want to add a swivel to carry it while hunting that voids the warranty. To me that is “NUTS”. Why should a sling swivel void anything.

OOPS apparently it's a different gun? It's NOT an RWS 54 WITH LIFETIME WARRANTY ANY MORE! Umarex USA doesn't have it listed on their website!

Void the warranty for putting a sling stud on the gun? Lol. That sounds really really dumb on their part.

Have emailed Umarex and asked them directly if installing a sling swivel will void the warranty and also asked why the change to a 2 year warranty. Am awaiting their response.

Got an answer back from UMAREX. They said it would not void the warranty of the gun but would void the warranty of the stock. They did not answer the question of why the change to a 2 year warranty.
