I have a year 2004 RWS 34 in .22 that I just replaced a broken mainspring in. It went about 10,000 shots and was in three pieces. Loading pellets in this gun has a light press seating feel when pressing them in. Both Crosman premiers and JSB seat with same light press feel. I just bought another new 2017 year RWS 34 in .22 with a RWS 4x from Cabelas , one of those $229.00 deals they have now. Great shooter like my older one and that inexpensive 4x still holds up after 1000 shots so far. My question: The same pellets drop in flush with no press needed, a looser fit than the older 34. You can turn the rifle upside down and tap the gun and pellet will fall out. I have been seating them lightly with a pointed wood dowel each time. Accuracy is very good. Is this loose pellet breech fit now common in the newer RWS guns?
