Rusty new Hatsan mod 125 sniper vortex

Hello. 

I bought a Hatsan mod 125 sniper vortex in july from a retailer here in Norway.

I found after a week that the gun was produced in february 2015 and got a little worried about that. 

I was so excited about my first air gun I didnt mind after I asked if a gun produced in 2015 would give me problems and they said no.

The gun looked fine at first and I shot a box at home inside because I live in the city and the gun worked just fine. 

I didnt shoot the gun after that and stored it in my closet. Now at the end of august we rented a cabin and I finally got the 

opportunity to shoot the gun at some distance outside. In the sun I could see gun was completely covered in rust colored oil.

At closer inspection I could see the gun had alot of surface rust.

Should I accept this?

How bad is it?

The gun was sold as brand new full price. 

And when I look at their website now this model dont sell anymore and they now sell the hatsan mod 135 sniper vortexQE instead for the same price.

Did they screw me over?

I would have a talk with them at the very least. Good money Rusty NOPE. Now as to the gun itself most likely will not hinder accuracy unless the barrel is rusty too.

did you happen wipe the gun down well with any gun oil, spray before setting it aside

and I'm unaware that rust can form when oil and or grease is present

even new barrels in most air guns are filthy so clean it up and keep it clean and wipe it down every time you touch the rifle

find a soft case to store it in

but gun made in Turkey can have quality control problem
