Hmmm, always wanted an Ataman, but I felt their price point was a bit to high. $300 off some models is a big discount! 

I'm still a bit confused as to the difference between type 1, 2, 3, & 4?

Type 4 says Lothar Walther barrel & match grade trigger, but type 2 dictates the same?

Hey Michael,

I asked Tyler about this and this was what he said....

With ataman, the "Type" is really just the reference for the stock style of that particular model. So the Type 4 is the full length rifle action with the folding stock. The type 2 is the same action but with the thumbhole stock and adjustable cheek piece. So with each type, you'll see a different stock style, but the action and features of the gun as a whole are the same."
