Wow, if you aren't afraid of dealing with essentially an orphan gun, GET ONE OF THESE! There is nothing about it that I don't love, and the Ammunition Store apparently still has some stock of these listed at $750 + shipping (about 20 bucks to California).
I received mine on Friday, but wasn't able to shoot it until today. I didn't even clean the barrel, just shot 18.13's right out of the tin feeding from the magazine. Not a single issue with the mag feeding (knock wood). This gun is light, very nicely balanced, smooth action, great trigger, quiet, accurate, and seems to make its own air. If this was a regulated gun (it isn't) I would be very happy with the shot-to-shot consistency and ES over 70 shots! I filled it to 220 bar, but I might try 210 or 200 in the future and
only get 50 great shots.
Breezy this morning, blowing from between 2:00-3:00. Took 4 shots to get into the bull of target 1, then proceeded to shoot 5 each 5 shot groups at 25 yards. I'm just getting used to the gun, but I'm more than pleased with the results. The trigger is light and single stage, but one mark of a good trigger is that I didn't even think about it when shooting. In fact, I had to dry fire it when writing this to even confirm that it was a single stage trigger.
(dang, still can't post pics on AGN at the moment. But had 2 groups in the .23" range, 2 in the .34" range, and one at .48").
Then refilled the gun and shot a full chrony string. The 70 shots could be covered with a dime center-to-center. Seems this gun was tuned at the factory to shoot JSB 18's.
(Insert pic of chrony string here. Started at 856 fps, rose to 895 fps, then dropped off until I hit 842 fps on shot #70).
BTW: My new gun from the Ammunition Store had a manufacturing date in 2016, but it holds air great, and these seem to be of a pretty simple design to work on when necessary. Didn't know whether it would come with the single shot tray, but it did. The SINGLE issue with my gun is that the WIKA gauge reads maybe 20 bar too low. But it should be easy to replace.
Sure would like to post pics, but you will have to use your imagination right now.
Thanks to all of you who posted & contributed to this thread, and who recommended this gun. At $750 these are a steal.
