Ruger #1 scope recommendation? Sorry it's a PB but trust y'all's opinion.

Father in law has a stainless Ruger #1 in 22-250 with the factory 1" rings.
He will mostly shoot benchrest to 200yds.
I'm trying to find a most appropriate scope for him.
It has to be American or European made. $500 budget
What's y'all's opinion?

Weaver 36X would be great, but be advised they were made in Japan.

Japan is good ,.Go to Snipers Hide,that is a way better place for your question as is other PB places. But ,yes people here also use PB scopes . Get a Leupold , or Sightron or a Burris,if you buy used you can get a better scope at that price.

Might check natchezss…. I’ve got a couple older stock scopes for insane deals. 2 of the old weaver extremes for less then $400 each.

Weavers are discontinued or out of stock everywhere.
I'm really pressured to find the best option for him. I just can't see putting a tactical looking scope on a #1.
Color isn't important but stainless/silver would be nice but no options anymore.
I'm thinking a 24x would be plenty.
I've just gotta get him hooked on pellets! He's just so invested in PB. He has to go to a range where PCP he could do at home.
Dang these ol stubborn dudes....
Oh yeah, anything decent without parallax knob. He needs it simple.

I've got a couple SWFA (moa quad reticle) rear focus fixed 20x if you are interested. My Ruger #1 is a .243 and has a Leupold fixed 6x on it, has been a nice combo for awhile. Nice deer and antelope rifle. I have leupold fixed 12x I've been meaning to get a rifle to go with, just can't make a decision.

Best choice for 500.00 is a used name brand. You need to give a bit more info. Does he want variable or fixed power. Is blued or matt ok or does he want silver. How much minimum power. Ok would advise looking in AccuratevShooter classifieds but to buy off there you need to join and I think have 10 posts, all quick and simple to do. Have you checked Dvor for sales.
