Hopefully they'll have some stats available soon since it's planned to be released next qtr. Maybe they're still working out the settings and bugs.

I want to pick up a base Priest 2 but I've got too many airguns in .22 that do 28-36fpe range and 2 .25s cal that do 50+fpe. If the Prophet can be adjusted for more power and isnt much more expensive I'll bite. From what Ive read the Priests, as is, are best in their stock settings.

I was advised the prophet is not going to break the bank. It is supposed to be close to the performance version. So I am thinking $1,400 or so.

My understanding is the only difference is the cocking lever. The power, plenum, and long range barrel can all be on the Priest2. Am I wrong?

Basically you are correct. Here a Priest 2 with a bigger plenum and long range barrel.

Keep in mind, the Priest already has a much larger plenum than the Impact. Adding more volume isn't really necessary. It wouldn't make a lot of difference until you got into the larger calibers or longer barrels at very high power levels.

It is the 3rd generation of the priest with a side lever cocking mechanism, upgraded barrel (imo the cz barrel was damn good), larger plenum. Look for Gregor's video he has on YouTube. It's his take on the az ebr competition where they used the prophet.

I recently heard it's not gonna replace the Priest but it's an addition to the model line. The Priest 2 will not be discontinued.

That makes sense. When I talked to Rob, at RTI, he said they added a plenum to the prototype Prophet they used in the extreme benchrest but he didn't believe they needed it because the Priest already had more plenum volume than the Impact. If I recall he said the Priest's plenum volume was 40cc which is only 15-20cc less than the Impact WITH the power plenum.

Im looking at a priest 2 or prophet in 25 cal because by the time im ready im pretty sure the prophets will be out. I wonder if the barrel will be longer, like 600mm instead of 500. shouldnt a longer barrel give you more fps

A longer barrel would and I'd at least like to see RTI offer the option. Expect the core gun to be released with a carryover barrel length.

OK, I got my piggy bank ready to empty out, 

I heard the Prophet will be ready in the USA after the IWA show??? Not sure when the IWA show is going to happen?? Pretty sure thats over the big pond anyway.

I need another PCP like a need a hole in the head but I have been so tempted with the Impact with its new power, But the Impact is still a complex air gun with its 47 O rings I just can not pull the trigger, 

I know apples to oranges but compared to the Impact the Prophet is a very simple design with a lot less O rings , Did not count them but I know its a lot less, Any body know the count right off the bat?

I guess I need to call AOA and see if I can put a deposit down so I do not miss the first batch of 25 calibers

Not counting the bottle regulator, I do believe off the top of my head, there are only 6. Yeah, that’s just a few less than an Impact.

Prophet available for pre-order now on some webshops. Differences with the Priest: thicker and longer shroud, 60cm barrel (except for the .177 which still is 50cm), external power plenum is standard (also available for the Priest as add-on), and ofcourse the side lever. 



The .22 is capable of delivering 60fpe @180 bar reg pressure.

Speaking with Rich yesterday at AoA, the .22 long range model is $1680 (est.). Ouch, I put my name on the list. I sent RTI Facebook a message, the difference between Regular and LongRange is the barrel. I wish I could find out more and I will before spending that much. I am just impressed with the accuracy!
