RTI Prophet pellet suggestions?

Hi all, I'm very close to buying an RTI airgun (Prophet Performance .22 LR or the Prophet Performance compact) for many different pesting jobs (close range rats in a barn, medium to close range birds in a barn, and longer ranges for ground hogs in the summer) and would like to know what people are shooting from their RTI guns and at what speeds. Yes, I now there is an older forum already open with this same topic but I felt like an updated version would be necessary to answer some of the other questions I have. So, to those that have the RTI line with a LR barrel, what are you shooting other than the 25g MRD, the 18 grain domed, and the 21 grain HN barracuda match? these are the three I've already read that work well. What shoots well from the compact version?

Is it possible to tune down the .22 LR model and barrel to shoot the hades (15.89g) around 700fps with good accuracy? or even the 14.3 g Crosman premier hollow points?

how about any slugs? (I know the barrel isn't made for slugs but some people have luck sometimes)

Thanks for all your help and input!

I have both the .22 full length and the .22 Compact.

.As others have said, AND if you use the "search" function, most everyone will say pretty much the same thing, these two guns shoot most all quality pellets well.

I've put H&N Match (21gr), H&N 18 gr, JSB Jumbo 18.1, JSB Jumbo Monster 25 gr., FX 18.1 through mine, and they shoot well, with very little readjusting for weight.

So there's five for yea..!

I have the Prophet Performance LR .22. I have all the same pellets MikeW mentioned and agree that it shoots them all well. I also will test soon some H&N 14.66g as well as JSB 15.89 and Crosman HP 14.3g. I actually had Tony of Talon Tunes set my PPLR up for JSB 18.13g at 895-900fps, as I’m limited to 45-50 yards in the winter. To achieve this speed, the reg is set at 85 (!) - so the PPLR is basically idling at 900fps with 18g pellets. It is quiet and gets a great shot count with this tune. It also is extremely consistent- I’ve shot 8 ten shot groups at 45 yards with JSB 18.13s - the worst group was .51” ctc - the best was .36” ctc - again, these are 10 shot groups. It is such a simple and compact design- I really like it - and until this, I always preferred to shoot traditional rifles like Daystate Huntsman and HW110. When testing lighter weight pellets, I will keep the same reg pressure and hammer spring tension as the LR barrel is supposed to help keep pellets stable at higher speeds than “normal” .

I have the Performance with the long range barrel. It shoots both H&N Baracuda's and JSB Redesigns better than I can shoot. Despite the few grains weight difference they both shoot same poi at 50 yards and under. I'm shooting the Redesigns at around 965 so I'm sure the H&N's are shooting over 1000 fps. I pest rabbits and squirrels using the redesigns, I aim for the eyes and if I don't hit the eye it misses by fractions of an inch. I still have a couple thousand rounds of H&N's but as soon as they are gone it'll be only the Redesigns. I haven't shot the lighter pellets.

I've tried a couple different slugs but can't get them to group well and usually have one shot out of five off by an inch or more, so they're a no go for pesting.

I have both. My Compact prefers AA18’s @858. My longest pigeon shot with it was 139 yards. My LR prefers 25.4 MRD @965-970. Unfortunately I just have way to many fliers with Hades to trust their accuracy. The compact isn’t as hold sensitive as the LR is and I have found that my LR likes a VERY firm hold for the best accuracy. Triggers are great on both and can be adjusted from very light to heavy depending on your preference.
