RTI priest II pellet jam finally made a dumb mistake I cant figure out

Just got a brand new priest 2 love the gun for what it is. Really screwed up and accidentally jammed a slug with 4-5 pellets behind it. Really dumb I know. Thought I was off target then gun started making odd noise. I ordered the barrel tool because it seems that’s the only way to remove the barrel. In the mean time anyone have any thoughts on how to un-jam this mess? Tried cleaning rod seems to be too flimsy to make any movement.

This is a reply that I gave to another Forum member and I just copied and paste it here:

You will need a 12" long or longer drill bit of the correct size. The correct size will be one that will barely fit inside the "soda straw" or equal plastic tube as listed below. Most likely a 1/8" or 5/32" will be the one.

Now insert the "soda straw" or equal plastic tube down the barrel until it reaches the pellet (s) and apply plenty of lube oil and let it rest for several minutes.

Next insert the drill bit and very slowly and carefully hand drill into the pellet (s) and remove the drill bit often to clear all lead findings. If there is only one pellet it should not take long to drill completely through. Remove the drill bit and the tube and proceed with the wood dowel process.

First off, your drill bit cannot touch inside the barrel if you follow my original instructions. I also stated to hand drill. Also do not tap or hit the drill bit to get it started into the pellet. If your bit is new and sharp it will easily start. Also if you have two (2) pellets in the barrel, hitting the first pellet from the muzzle end you would be causing the Skirt of the first pellet to Flare out on the dome of the Second pellet creating a tighter jam.
You can find some 4mm OD tubing that will fit inside your barrel and then find the tightest fitting drill bit.

Hope this will help,

You can pull the shroud off, 4 or 6 grub screws and it will spin right off, giving you access to the barrel. If the magazine isn’t stuck, you can drive them out towards the breech with a dowel or non metallic cleaning rod.

I will second the barrel removal. You don't want to be trying to remove the stuck ammo with it installed, in my view. Barrel removal is fairly easy on the RTI Prophet and Priest. There is no need for the barrel tool and also no need to remove the shroud if you don't want to, but it is much easier with the tool. If you don't want to buy the tool, it is easier to remove / install the barrel with the shroud removed, but I have swapped barrels on my Prophet II several times without the barrel tool and without removing the shroud with no problems.

How I did it in this AGN link.

If you plan on tapping out the lead and don't have a set of barrel vise jaws, get some lead roofing sheet to wrap around the barrel to hold it in the vise. Dust some powdered rosin on the barrel where it is in the lead sheeting for some extra hold to keep it from sliding when tapping out the obstructions. Hopefully that will work and you won't need to run a drill in there.

The barrel removal on a Priest is even easier than a Prophet. Grab the shroud and unscrew it. Back the grub screw on the top of the receiver out several turns. Then pull the barrel out. Then you can get to work on the 150 grains of lead you have packed in there.
So got the pellets out with a friend who’s knowledgeable on this stuff. We fired the gun all went well. However my friend noticed a shot of air coming from the probe hitting you in the face when you fire. I told him the 20 times I’d shot it it had done that every time. Then we realized no o-ring on the probe!!!. He believes this caused the whole jam issue. (Not sealing and not pushing full power to pellet) I have ordered the o-ring kit from rti however. I received an extra probe (pic included) with an O-ring. It looks similar sized or possibly smaller than my current probe. If anyone thinks I could possibly use this probe with .25 I’d be happy to hear your thoughts. There was no explanation on the extra probe provided in directions. Finding a 3.5 mm o ring is proving difficult where I am located.

I removed 12 Pellets from my Brothers gun ( I took a Stainless all thread rod 3/32 X 36 took a Dremal and ground the end to look like a Drill Bit chucked up in a Drill Press then just pulled them out a few at a time
