RTI compact 25 (update)

Great gun, unless you get a bad barrel, but that's not exactly RTI's fault... The barrels are made by CZ, usually with a 1:17 twist for shooting slugs; I think, that this particular twist rate will also suit heavier diabolos as well.

You'll lose some velocity with a shorter barrel, but the gun will still be deadly accurate at up to 80 yds or even more. If you're willing to go the extra mile with your wallet, it won't disappoint you, I can assure that.

What kind of shot count is the compact .25 getting?

Good question... seems to be a mystery. I cant find any info on this forum. My 22 Compact has shipped (talon tunes) so it will be here by this weekend I wont be reviewing/commenting in it. Plenty of info to be found on it.... the 25 compact hasn't shipped yet (AOA ships when their damn good and ready...apparently) both were ordered the same day..... anywho... I will be updating this thread when the 25 compact comes in giving a review and answering questions the best I can.. so hang in there for a few....it won't be much longer and we will see if the 25 compact has the right stuff..

I recieved my new compact in 25 today fro. AOA... it came with the chrony papers that they tested shooting 25.4gr 919fps and the reg set at 150bar.. looked like the hammer spring was a couple of turns in.. I fired a few shots then decided I didn't like it set as such... I set the reg to 135bar and the hammer spring 1 1/2 turns in. That gave me 885fps with 25.4gr pellets. I fill to 250bar and I get 28 shots before it falls of the reg. It its definitely a tiny little thumper. Its going to make a great squirrel hunting rig.

Thanks for posting! Your numbers compare almost exactly to my .25 Veteran Compact with a plenum extension. (About 30 useable shots.).

I put some trigger time with the 25 this evening. I made some adjustments to the trigger as I didn't like the factory setting. Trigger is better now. I'm guessing I shot close to 200 rounds (AA 25.4gr) I did notice the reg setting moved from 135bar to 140bar and stayed at 140bar. I figured it's just breaking in so I'm gonna leave it there for a bit until I feel things are seated it good. Then I'll move it back to 135bar. I wish the 25 compact came with a 300cc tank. The 220 is a bit small for the 25 compact. Well for bench shooting. I'm ok with 220 when squirrel season comes in. More than enough air for a hunt. Accuracy is quite good as well.

Today I added a plenum to the 25 compact and done a retune... reg set 135bar...spring about 3/4 of a turn in from flush. I usually fill to 250bar but today I started at a 300 bar fill... with AA 25.4gr pellets I have it shooting 874fps for 52 shots!!!! Now I'm very pleased with that!! The shot cycle is much more smooth and calm.. cocking is easier and smoother aslo... I had full intentions the other day to buy a 22 cal barrel kit for it as I like the wifes 22 compact better... but after adding the plenum and a retune I believe I'll leave it a 25..I'm much happier with it..

@Mr.H above pic is the RTI in 25cal. I just recieved a donny fl tatsu in the mail today and shot a 48 yard group (range finder) with it on.. I tried the marauder baffles to keep it nice and compact.. to my ear there was not much of a sound dampening... I also tried the baffles in my wifes 22 compact. Again to my ear and hers... a no go. But the donnie sure quiets them down nicely.
